She has almost two decades experience working for national news and current affairs programs across television, radio and online. She has championed the introduction of personal finance to the ABC's coverage, beginning with the first series of The Pineapple Project podcast in 2018, where the name Sensible Emily was born. She is best known for her regular personal finance newsletter, Your Money Explained, with Sensible Emily, which has a very active community. In addition to her practical experience, Emily has a Masters of Business Administration from Melbourne Business School and Bachelors of Commerce and Arts from the University of Melbourne.
